Remarks
John, Paul, George, John Lowe and Colin Hanton locally cut a 78rpm record of Buddy Holly's That'll Be The Day with In Spite Of All The Danger on the back. There was only one copy made. John sang lead on both tracks. The official version of this track on the Beatles Anthology 1 CD has been edited by approximately 42 seconds to remove a repeated verse and chorus. This version is artificially lengthened with a loop to create the original length of the recording as it appeared on the 78rpm record it was first pressed to in 1958. Track 16 on disc 1 of this CD set. Estimated recorded date known to be spring or early summer 1958. Estimated release date known to be in 2007.
