Remarks
John, Paul, George with Pete Best backing Tony Sheridan in this Hamburg session. Instrumental track and Beatles backing vocals recorded on May 24, 1962. Tony added the vocal the following June 7. It is a common misconception that this was recorded earlier and part of the June 1961 session with Tony Sheridan. On January 3, 1964, Tony created a new lead vocal adding lyrics concerning The Beatles ('In Liverpool they even dared to criticize The Beatles hair with their whole fan club standing there...'). This is the original vocal. Estimated release date known to be in October 1962. The Beatles are joined by pianist Roy Young on the recording. Track 10 on disc 1 of this CD set.
