Video Disc Definitions
Each field on the CDs pages is described below:
Title: The title of the video disc. If it has more than one title it may have a second title listed in parentheses preceded by aka. The title is preceded by a prefix DVD: if it is a DVD or VCD: if it is a Video CD or BRD: if it is a Blu-Ray disc, GD: if it is a Game disc (such as Nintendo Wii, XBox, etc.) or DLC: if it is downloadable content (not actually on a disc). Media Type Prefixes
Artist: The artist(s) that the program on the video disc features. In the case of video discs by various artists the Beatle-related artist(s) are listed.
Type: DVD=DVD, VCD=Video CD, BRD=Blu-Ray, GD=Game Disc, DLC=downloadable content
No Disks: The number of video discs in the set (e.g. double DVD sets list a 2 in this field).
Copies: The number of copies of this video disc set in my collection
Release Date: The official release date of the video disc set. This field is often listed as 00/00/0000 if it is not an official release. In some rare cases this is estimated. If so, that is annotated in the Remarks field.
Label: The label or recording company of the release (e.g. Apple, Capitol, Parlophone, etc.). This will say none on burned or bootleg VCDs or DVDs.
Catalog No: The catalog number the recording company assigns to the release. This number is usually shown on the spine of the VCD or DVD case or in the bar code. This will say none on burned or on some bootleg video discs.
Release status: Official=official release, Bootleg=unofficial release,
Burned=DVD-R recorded especially for and/or by me.
Remarks: Any additional descriptive information about the video disc set or it's track listing.
Chapter Listing A numbered list of the chapter titles featured on the disc(s) listed in order of appearance. The time of each chapter is also included. If essential tracks are featured in the chapter (see explanation of essential tracks below) they will appear in brackets following the chapter title.
Essential Tracks The same track is often duplicated on more than one CD, video disk or vinyl release but if it is exactly the same track it is only listed once on the tracks page which gives only one release to find it on, called the Primary location in my collection (see explanation of that field here). Although the track is often duplicated on other releases, this primary location is for one reason or another the best quality recording of it. If the video disc listed in the title field is the primary location for a track, then it is an essential track for that video disk.
