Remarks:
Contains July 6, 1957 recording made by Bob Molyneux on his portable Grundig TK8 reel-to-reel machine at a gig featuring The Quarrymen. The complete recording contained performances by the George Edwards Band and their support act, The Quarrymen. In 1963 after the Beatles made it to national fame Bob discovered he still had two of the Quarrymen songs on tape. This one, and part of Elvis Presley's Baby Let's Play House. Bob attempted to contact John to see if he was interested in the tape but never received a reply. Bob's tape and the recorder were auctioned to Sotheby's in September 1994. Subsequently portions of this song have surfaced on a few bootleg CDs and in 2007 on the 50th anniversary of the recording, the first verse along with 28 seconds of Baby Let's Play House was broadcasted on a BBC Radio 2 documentary called The Day John Met Paul. The voice over heard on this recording is from that program. Three verses that have surfaced from different sources have been combined on the bootleg CD set Strong Before Our Birth, also in this collection, although the third verse has an even lesser audio quality than the other two and there is voice over from the documentary.
